House League Soccer (Age 3-8)

House League soccer is based on fun and full participation by all players. It is designed to introduce young children to the basics of soccer, to the joys of team play and provides the opportunity to meet new people in the community.

Parent volunteers are a vital part of house league soccer. Please consider volunteering to coach your child’s team! You can find the coaching information at the bottom of the page

Every effort will be made to ensure all teams will have an even number of males/females and an equal number of players in the 3-6 age group. Please note the 3-6 age group is co-ed while the 7 & 8’s are separated by gender (during the Spring session). The parents are to be actively involved with their children at every game/practice in the 3-6 year old category. The season starts in early May (weather dependent) and goes until the end of June.

Teams play on a smaller field. Soccer cleats are optional but shin guards are mandatory.

*There is no snack time scheduled into soccer hour.

Jerseys will be given to each child participating and must be returned at the end of the season.  Registration also includes team pictures (spring session only) and medals.

*Please note that ‘friends requests’ are not accepted.  We will be making an effort to keep kids from the same schools together, however, due to the lack of coaches, your child may not end up on a team with kids from the same school. Every effort will be made to ensure all teams have even numbers of males/females and an equal number of players.

**Dates & times for games are NOT absolute and are subject to change depending on the number of registrations/teams. Age groups may be combined to form teams.

***Field locations TBD based on the number of teams registered. Each age group plays at a DIFFERENT location so if you have multiple kids on the same night they will not be playing at the same location (unless they are in the same age group)

Coaching House League Soccer

We needs coaches for House League Soccer!

With the Manitoba Soccer Association changes of all House League Soccer programs having to be sanctioned all coaches will now need to complete the following to coach:

• A criminal record and Child abuse registry check
• Respect in Sport (if you coach another sport you would already have this – it is good for 5 years)
• Online Coaching courses:
  • Active Start
    For coaches of players ages 4-6
    60-90 minute online workshop (in-person portion recommended but not required)
    Good for life (does not need to be renewed)
    Fee $20 (Corydon will reimburse you for this course)
  • FUNdamentals
    For coaches of players ages 6-8
    60-90 minutes online workshop (in-person portion recommended but not required)
    Good for life (does not need to be renewed)
    Fee $20 (Corydon will reimburse you for this course)
