WMBA FALL 2026- WINTER 2027 Community League (Age 7-17)- Registration Now Open

The WMBA Community Centre League is a city-wide league where teams compete against other teams from different areas in the city. Players register online for their catchment community centre and teams are formed based on those Community Centre catchment areas. If the community centre you register under cannot host a team, players will be transferred to the next nearest community centre that can accept the transfer. The WMBA adheres to a fair play and zero tolerance model to ensure young athletes are competing in a Fun and Safe environment. Age 7-8 (Co-ed): Winnipeg Minor Basketball

WMBA city-wide program with 1 game/week (Saturdays), plus practice
3v3 Cross Court Games

Age 9-12 Girls & Age 9-13 Boys: Winnipeg Minor Basketball
WMBA city-wide program with 1 game/week (Saturdays), plus practice
9-10 Boys and 9-10 Girls – 3v3 Cross Court Games
11-13 Boys & 11-12 Girls – 5v5 Full Court Games

Age 13-17 Girls & 14-17 Boys: Winnipeg Minor Basketball
WMBA city-wide program with 1 game/week (Sundays), plus practice
5v5 Full Court Games

Fees:

Total League fees are made up of the WMBA Membership Fee $295.00 and a Community Club Basketball fee (Community Club fee $86.00).

Please note that the WMBA has a NO REFUND policy. Exceptions may be considered at the discretion of the Executive Director.

Fall 2026 – Winter 2027 Season Important Dates:

Registration Opens: Monday August 17, 2026
Registration Closes: Friday September 18th, 2026

Team building and league administration: September 20th – September 30th, 2026

Practices begin: Between October 1st & October 16th, 2026

First league games: TBA

Final regular season games (All Ages): TBA

Equipment Return

If you have any equipment left over (jerseys/balls) from previous seasons, please drop them off at the River Heights site at 1370 Grosvenor Ave

Winnipeg Minor Community League Basketball – Boys & Girls (age 7-18)

The WMBA’s main program offered is its Community Club Basketball League. The Fall / Winter and Spring league is open to Boys and Girls ages 7-18 . There are no ‘tryouts’ for club basketball as we make as many teams in the area based on the number of players who register.

We offer both a Fall/Winter league which runs October through March and a Spring League from April to June. The Club league holds its games on weekends, along with one practice during the weeknights. Practice night is not determined until the teams are finalized and coaches confirmed.

The WMBA is a city-wide league, so teams will be competing against other teams from around the city. We attempt to keep games in a central location fair to all teams in the program. Age divisions are set roughly every 1 to 2 years. This program is run by volunteers and we are always looking for people to get involved as either a coach or manager – email office@corydoncc.com

Uniform Deposit

All registrants must place a $100.00 deposit (preauthorized credit card forms will need to be filled out) to be given to the coaches before uniforms are distributed. If uniforms are not returned after the season, the cheque will be cashed. Players are required to supply non-marking indoor shoes and blacks shorts with no pockets.
