U9 House League

The U9 House League program at Corydon Community Centre participates in a league that plays other house league teams in the APHA.

The season consists of 18-20 indoor games (weekends), starting in November and players can expect to practice both indoor and outdoors 1-2 times per week. Teams may opt to participate in exhibition games and tournaments outside the club.

Our program begins in early October with our pre-season Initiation Program (IP) which involves 4 X 1 hour on-ice sessions focused on hockey skill development, and 2 X 1 hour evaluation skates. The evaluation skates are designed to assist us in team formation and to ensure that each house league team has a fair and balanced compliment of players. In order to achieve this goal we do NOT accept friend requests.

The IP program will run every weekend in October at the River Heights site.

Players at this age level play on a half ice surface for the duration of the season as mandated by Hockey Canada. The remainder of the ice surface is used as a development zone.
