Corydon Heritage Ice Federation
Corydon Heritage Ice Federation is an ‘in house’ non contact recreational hockey program emphasizing fun and skill development and is not affiliated with any hockey association. This program is a great option for those involved in a busy activity schedule or who are interested in recreational development and the consistency of the same schedule each week.
This program consists of a 22-week indoor ice schedule and is set up in age groups 9-11, 12-14 and 15-17 years old and welcomes all levels of players.
All age groups will have a 2-week evaluation/team formation skate followed by 2 practices with their team and an 18 game schedule. Teams are picked based on an informal skill evaluation with the objective of having balanced teams. Teams can be changed after the first few weeks of the season to ensure balance.
Games are supervised by qualified referees, there is no intentional body contact and certain rules apply to further ensure that teams are evenly matched.
Games are played at the River Heights Site on Saturdays beginning in October and run into March. The league schedule runs from 3:00pm to 10:00pm and teams play at a similar time each week, which makes balancing other schedules easy and convenient.
