Registration for Tackle Football is a 3 Step Process

Online Registration for tackle football with Football Manitoba is now open. All players MUST register and pay online PRIOR to registering at the Community Centre. Only players applying for subsidy can pay off-line. http://www.corydoncomets.goalline.ca
Email the receipt/proof of registration with Football Manitoba/MMFA. This can be done anytime.
You will be emailed a link for online registration.

*In person registration can also be done Monday to Friday between 8:30 and 4:30 from March 2 to March 6, 2020 – at the River Heights office only. There will also be in person registration at the Crescentwood site on Thursday May 7, 2020 from 6:30-8:30pm and Saturday May 9, 2020 from 10:00am-2:00pm. You will still need to provide proof of Football Manitoba/MMFA Registration.

Volunteer Bonds ($200, dated Nov 1, 2020) and Equipment Deposit ($300, dated Nov 1, 2020) cheque’s will be accepted at equipment fitting in June.

Corydon Comets Football Refund Policy

Withdrawal from the program prior to attending any practices or games: $25.00 administration fee will be deducted
After participating in a practice or game: $50 Cruncher and $75 for Atom, Peewee and Bantam will be deducted.

NO REFUNDS after the first game of the season.

Volunteer Bond

A volunteer bond in the amount of $200.00 is required at registration. Only one volunteer bond per family is required and families must register with their team’s manager for a volunteer opportunity. All families that meet the minimum requirement (approximately 6 hours) will have their cheques returned at the end of the season. All cheques should be dated for November 1, 2020 and made out to Corydon Community Centre

Catchment Area

Our catchment, as defined by the Manitoba Minor Football Association, is bounded by the Assiniboine River on the North, the Red River on the east, McGillivray Blvd. and Oakenwald Ave. on the south, and Kenaston Blvd (Route 90) on the west. To play with a club a player must either reside in or go to school in that catchment. If the player lives outside of catchment but goes to school in catchment then they must provide proof of their schooling at registration; a copy of their current report card with the student’s name on it is acceptable.

Team Splitting Policy

In the event multiple teams are offered in the same age division, the Team Splitting Policy will be implemented in forming team rosters.

Games and Practices

Games are played will be played on Saturday or Sunday throughout Winnipeg and surrounding areas. Teams may change days at some point in the season depending on the new seeding changes. Players are asked to practice 2 or 3 times (maximum of 2 hours) per week in addition to the weekend game. Games will start August 12th and 13th with a bye week September Long weekend and finish early October. Championship weekend will be October 28th and 29th

Equipment

The club will provide all equipment except cleats. Cleats must have a minimum of seven plastic or rubber cleats. No metal or screw-in cleats are allowed.

A $300.00 equipment bond dated for November 1, 2020 will be required at registration made out to Corydon CC. It will be returned at the end of the season once all equipment has been returned, washed and in good condition.
